Farina is a second-year PhD student in the Jones lab. She graduated from the University of Tehran, Iran, in 2022 with a bachelor’s in Biology. She did her undergraduate project with Dr. Ameneh Rezayof on dopaminergic systems and the role of sex differences in addiction. Farina then began her PhD in the biological sciences department at Texas A&M. She is now studying the role of cholinergic pathway impairment in circadian distributions and cognitive deficits in Alzheimer’s disease. Farina enjoys playing music, hanging out with friends and playing with her two cats in her free time.
