Jordan is a third year PhD student in the Jones Lab. She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2020 with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a minor in Neuroscience. During her time at USC ( the OG USC- by the way), Jordan worked in the neurochemistry lab of Dr. Parastoo Hashemi studying the detection of ambient levels of serotonin using fast-scan controlled adsorption voltammetry. After graduating from USC, Jordan spent some time working as a research associate for the biotechnology company, integrated micro-chromatography systems (IMCS), where her research focusing on the development of high-throughput protein and DNA purification technologies. In 2022, Jordan began her PhD work with the Texas A&M Institute of Neuroscience where she now studies the role of chronic stress on circadian rhythms in the reward circuit. In her free time, Jordan enjoys working out, reading a good novel, and rollerblading with her dog, Sunny.
